A half day course will last approximately three hours. A day course will last approximately five hours.
The courses will cover exactly the same ground, but in a more abbreviated form and with fewer examples in a half day course.
The best results are achieved if students are seated individually at exam desks in a hall. We recommend that students be given one break during a half day course and three breaks during a day course.
Prices are inclusive of travelling expenses to your school. Cost will depend on distance and the requirements for accommodation etc.
A full day course can be divided into sessions for students of different levels of ability and can be targeted at different grades, for example, 4-6 and 7-9.
Courses are normally in-school but can also be presented on-line.
In each case, a detailed pack of resources will be prepared for use by students and/or staff. This will be geared to the precise needs of the school.
A full day course could be partly GCSE and partly A Level or CPD for teachers.
Courses will be presented by Malcolm Chandler, formerly Chief Examiner for GCSE History.
